When You Arrive In Uganda

Airport Pick Up
You will be met at the Entebbe International Airport by BIC staff who will help
you to transfer to Kampala City and Check in at Hotel. Your Tour Coordinator
will guide you through the 8 days itinerary. He/she will answer all you questions
and concerns you may have at this time.

Money Issues
Most of the payments will be made in Uganda Shillings. Some places you may
pay in USD. You will need to change some of your USD dollars into Uganda
shillings. BIC tour guide will help you to identify the exchange point that gives
the best rate.
NOTE: Foreign Currency:  USD is the most widely accepted foreign currency in
Uganda. Bring with you USD which can easily be exchanged at a Forex Bureau.
Older notes produced below year 2000 as well as USD notes of $1, $5, & $10 and
$20 (at some Forex Bureau) attract lower rates.
Bring crisp new undamaged
$50 or $100 bills that will bring the best exchange rates. The USD bills must be
2001 series or newer (printed in 2001, 2002, 2003,2006 etc.)

Travellers Cheques: can be used at some locations but are charged high rates.
We recommend that you do not bring Travelers Checks.  They are really hard
to cash even in Kampala the Capital City and will cost you a lot to cash them.

Credit Cards: A VISA card can be used at most Banks with a wide network of
ATM with A VISA sign which allow withdrawal of Uganda Shillings to a daily
muximum equivalent of about $1,000 (2,000,000UGX) at the exchange rate of
the Banks which is lower that the market rates in tow. VISA, MasterCard, JCB  &
AMEX can also be used at some establishments in Kampala & up market
lodges in National parks.
